On this day, there is news from the Palatinate:

“The city of Manheim has been entirely razed, and we are working on razing the citadel. No stone will be left atop another, neither there nor in the city. We have burned Ladebourg and everything that is between Manheim and Heidelberg; most of the inhabitants of Manheim have retired to Alsace.”
