On this day, Louis XIV returns from Marly to Versailles to find his daughter-in-law’s health seemingly much improved:
“Madame la Dauphine continues to feel better due to her remedies, and we saw her this evening eating supper with appetite. She was even very gay, and quite persuaded that she will soon be in good health.”
